Kiro Kids - seminars and courses in chiropractic pediatrics and education

Dr Neil J Davies has been a chiropractic educator and clinician for over 21 years. In 1986, after many years teaching chiropractic philosophy and techniques at RMIT Melbourne, he was responsible for assembling a team of pediatricians and other educators to create the first ever University level degree course in clinical chiropractic pediatrics.

This course, now fully accredited by the University of Wales and delivered to the profession by McTimoney College of Chiropractic, is currently offered to chiropractors in many countries. Dr Davies is well known as a visiting lecturer and conducts seminars in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe, UK, Ireland, Israel, South Africa and North America. In January 2000, Dr Davies founded Kiro Kids, a company which has been engaged in delivering seminars and courses in chiropractic pediatrics and education in 14 countries making it the undisputed leader in the field.

In the same year, Dr Davies released his evidence-based text, "Chiropractic Pediatrics A Clinical Handbook" which relates clinical chiropractic management to pediatrics, with coverage of the key aspects of syndromes most commonly seen by chiropractors working with children.

The Kiro Kids teaching programme has become refined over many years of teaching, evolving into a unique and powerful assessment protocol using a unique step-by-step process. This neurologically based subluxation assessment protocol is now used exclusively in the Kiro Kids clinics and is taught in seminars worldwide.

This unique protocol allows the chiropractor to reach a rational, reproducible result combining motion palpation, neurological examination and recognition of common compensation postural patterns. Dr Davies has identified sound, evidence-based principles that allow the chiropractor to choose the right technique for each situation. The Adjusting the Child Basic Seminar is a 2 day detailed presentation integrating the spine, extremities and cranials using the unique Kiro Kids neurologically based model of both subluxation identification and adjusting.

In addition, Neil and the team have identified sound, evidence-based principles involved in choosing the right technique for each situation. The subluxation assessment protocol plus all the adjusting procedures for the spine and extremities used in the Kiro Kids clinics are demonstrated and explained in an outstanding full colour manual.
